A global leader in the defence and aviation industry is establishing a strategic presence in South Africa and seeks an experienced Branch Office Manager to lead the charge. Specialising in integrated logistics, MRO support, procurement of aviation and defence parts, and tailored support services across land, sea, and air platforms, the company partners with both government and commercial operators worldwide. This high-impact role will see you driving market expansion efforts, building and managing client relationships, overseeing daily office operations, and championing business development strategies aligned to regional dynamics. You’ll also represent the company at key industry events, guide the recruitment of a local team, and act as the primary point of contact for both operational and strategic initiatives

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Minimum 7–10 years' experience in business development or management roles within the aviation industry
Related experience in the defence sector highly desirable
Proven track record of driving sales growth and market expansion
Familiarity with both defence and commercial aviation markets
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Leadership experience in multicultural environments
Proficiency in project management, budgeting, and operational oversight
Knowledge of South African business practices and regulatory frameworks (advantageous)
Willingness to travel regionally as required

Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed market research to identify growth opportunities within the defence and aviation sectors
Develop, implement, and monitor business development strategies tailored for the South African market
Establish and maintain relationships with clients, government bodies, and industry stakeholders
Oversee the daily operations of the branch office, ensuring efficiency and alignment with corporate goals
Manage budgets and allocate resources to maximize profitability
Create and execute marketing plans to raise brand awareness in the local market
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
Collaborate with the global marketing team to customize regional promotional campaigns
Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing local team
Set performance objectives and conduct regular team reviews
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments
Prepare detailed reports on business performance, market insights, and strategic initiatives
Use data analytics to measure the effectiveness of business development efforts and adapt strategies accordingly
