Responsibilities

What we’re looking for :

We seek an Operations Manager to lead our dynamic team. The role involves managing demand requirements within manufacturing to optimize cost, quality, and efficiency, overseeing compliance initiatives, and ensuring production performance aligns with sales service levels.

Accountabilities

• Ensure timely daily and weekly delivery to dispatch, meeting CFR/short load targets for optimal customer service.
• Manage CAPEX planning and execution for the bakery, including submission of Charters and CARs.
• Monitor and optimize line performance to ensure product quality and cost efficiency, achieving bread quality benchmarks.
• Utilize labor hours effectively, including line staffing, TES usage, and overtime management.
• Address development and training needs of FLEs and direct reports, fostering succession planning and retention.
• Maintain discipline via the disciplinary code and adherence to the PepsiCo Code of Conduct, ensuring PDRs are in place and tracked.
• Manage daily MAKE KPAs including supply, waste, efficiencies, productivity, quality, EHS, and overhead costs.
• Prepare performance reports and communicate issues according to hierarchy.
• Ensure compliance with meeting cadences and drive KPA objectives.
• Analyze weekly cost variance reports and reconcile performance data.
• Control daily materials management, including backflushing, GRVs, stock counts, and variance investigations.
• Ensure housekeeping, food safety, and occupational safety standards are maintained.
• Enhance plant audit performance and work environment.
• Lead supervisory staff in identifying and correcting unsafe conditions.
• Identify opportunities for process and operational improvements.
• Maintain effective communication and stakeholder management internally and externally.

Qualifications

What will qualify you for the role :

• Tertiary qualification in Production Management, Engineering, Operations, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of quality assurance standards and systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant computer applications.
• Understanding of safety regulations.
• Strong employee relations skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience working with teams across Quality, Facilities, Engineering, Raw Materials, Stores, and Distribution.
