Operations Manager Luxury Touring Company Cape Town

Salary: R45000 - R50000 (Negotiable Dependent on Experience)

Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager for a luxury touring company based in Cape Town. This is a fast-paced and diverse role ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about delivering world-class travel experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management

  1. Oversee Adventure Store Manager and Assistants to ensure efficient stock management and tour-readiness.
  2. Maintain headquarters in top condition and ensure it remains guest-ready at all times.
  3. Implement and continuously improve operational systems and processes.

Storeroom & Equipment Management

  1. Ensure touring equipment is in excellent condition and up to company standards.
  2. Maintain organization and cleanliness in the store and manage inventory.
  3. Ensure three Gourmet Pantries are packed and ready for immediate tour deployment.
  4. Handle equipment repairs and sourcing with procurement approval from senior management.
  5. Conduct monthly stock takes and submit timely reports.

Fleet Management

  1. Monitor servicing, licensing, and maintenance of all company vehicles.
  2. Ensure timely booking and servicing through the Store Manager.

Guide Management

  1. Oversee guide allocations through the Guide Logistics Coordinator.
  2. Support the Guide Manager in training, development, and wellbeing of all guides.
  3. Manage guide recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling six months in advance.
  4. Organize quarterly training sessions and regular guide check-ins.
  5. Ensure guides are properly uniformed and presentable.

Event Management

  1. Coordinate logistics for Beach Club setups and small onsite events.
  2. Manage client and internal event planning.
  3. Oversee marketing events to elevate brand visibility and reputation.

Meetings & Reporting

  1. Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with the Store Manager.
  2. Hold regular check-ins with senior leadership to discuss operational updates.
Qualifications & Skills:
  1. Strong knowledge of Cape Town and surrounding regions.
  2. Excellent administrative and computer skills.
  3. Highly organized with strong multitasking capabilities.
  4. Dependable, detail-oriented, and adaptable.
  5. Effective problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.
  6. Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  7. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and implementing operational systems.
  8. Confident decision-maker with a collaborative mindset.
  9. Willingness to be involved across all areas of the business as needed.
