Our client in Somerset West is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee their event management operations. The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12 qualification and at least 3 years of experience in event supervision or a related field, including stretch tent rentals, equipment rental, and logistics control. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong time management skills are essential. We are looking for a self-motivated, proactive leader who excels in both independent and team settings, possesses a valid driver’s license, and resides in the Helderberg area.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12
  • 3 + years events supervision experience or experience in a similar industry, such as stretch tent rentals and set ups, event equipment rental, delegation management, operations management, logistics control, sales, technical - handyman work and warehouse management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Effective time management skills
  • Self-Motivated, proactive, independent worker who is a STRONG team leader
  • Own car and valid driver’s license
  • Reside in Helderberg area


DUTIES:
  • Supervise daily operations of the tent division, managing a team-ensuring adherence to sales and production schedules.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and audits, maintaining strict compliance with industry standards.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to address equipment quality, reducing product malfunctions.
  • Oversee daily operations of the tent division, including scheduling, logistics, and staff management.
  • Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions for various events.
  • Manage a team of six employees, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures to ensure efficient and cost-effective execution of events.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability of required equipment and materials.
  • Led the setup and breakdown of tent structures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and client specifications.
  • Analyze performance metrics and generate reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients.
