Job Title: Operations Manager – Supply & Logistics

Introduction:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager with a background in Supply & Logistics to join our growing team based in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing daily operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods, and improving supply chain performance from procurement through to delivery. This role will require regular regional travel to support operations across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, warehousing, and distribution.
• Develop and implement efficient operational processes and systems.
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to achieve performance targets and KPIs.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze operational data and identify areas for process improvement and cost savings.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless supply chain integration.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners.
• Prepare operational reports and present performance updates to senior management.
• Travel to regional sites and partner locations as needed to support operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
• Proven experience in an operations or supply chain management role (3+ years preferred).
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the region.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in supply chain software and tools (e.g., ERP, WMS).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Desirable:

• Experience in fast-paced or high-volume environments.
• Project management certification or equivalent experience.
