Operations Manager Western Cape

Location: Western Cape, South Africa

Employment Type: Permanent

A distinguished opportunity is available for an experienced Operations Manager to join a long-standing business process outsourcing operation within the manufacturing supply chain sector.

This role is integral to the delivery of client-focused services, internal team leadership, and the continuous pursuit of operational excellence.

You will play a vital role in daily on-site client engagements, team supervision, process optimisation, and quality assurance, while driving innovation and service performance across multiple contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Full manpower planning and deployment across sites
  2. Daily client liaison, issue resolution, and non-conformance management
  3. Strategic planning and scheduling in line with service delivery standards
  4. Benchmarking of performance against contract KPIs and models
  5. Oversight of budgets, costings, and financial efficiency
  6. Management of disciplinary hearings and employee relations
  7. Execution and monitoring of OHS, FSSC, and other compliance audits
  8. Supervision of approximately 6 contract supervisors and 10 internal staff
  9. High-level visibility over contract personnel
  10. Identification and development of new client opportunities

Essential Requirements

  1. Minimum 5 years experience in operations or site management, preferably within TES or outsourced staffing environments
  2. Proven leadership of multi-level teams in high-volume operational settings
  3. Proficiency in logistics, scheduling, and performance tracking
  4. Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and time-and-motion knowledge
  5. Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  6. Valid Code 8 Drivers License
  7. High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Suite and custom platforms)
  8. Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented attitude

Preferred (Not Essential)

  1. Familiarity with FSSC, ISO, or Quality Management Systems (QMS)
