About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to take ownership of the full financial function within a company based in George.

This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, multi-industry environment and is ready to provide strategic direction and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the full financial function of the group.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present accurate financial reports to senior management.
  • Interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Advise on sound investment options and risk management strategies.
  • Develop forecasts, financial models, and projections to guide business growth.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through regular financial reviews.
  • Liaise with external auditors and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with departmental heads to align financial planning with business strategy.
  • Implement and monitor cost accounting procedures across operations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience within a similar role
  • Proven track record as a Senior Accountant or Financial Manager.
  • Strong understanding of internal financial trends and external market conditions.
  • Proficient in accounting software – preferably Sage Online .
  • Experience managing teams and overseeing general operational functions.
  • Background in one or more of the following industries will be advantageous :
  • Steel Manufacturing

  • Transport / Logistics
