Job summary

Network Finance seeks a senior finance leader for a leading FMCG bread manufacturer in Gauteng. You will oversee the finance team, drive accurate management accounts, and deliver timely financial statements and reporting.

You will manage cash flow, settlements, budgeting, and cost controls while partnering with production and operations. A hands-on leader with strong FMCG experience is essential to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) preferred.
• BCom Accounting with articles and strong FMCG experience.
• 3 years' bread industry experience essential.
• 5–10 years' relevant finance experience if outside the bread industry.
• 1–3 years' experience managing a team of 15-20+.
• Strong cash flow, credit and settlement experience.
• Proven budget, expense and operational finance management.
• Strong understanding of management accounts and financial reporting.
• Strong, disciplined and confident leadership personality.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead & Review – Oversee the finance team and ensure accurate, timely management accounts, financial statements and reporting.
• Cash Flow & Settlements – Take ownership of cash flow management, credit-related activities and settlement processes.
• Budgets & Expenses – Manage operational budgets, monitor expenditure and drive financial performance.
• Factory Finance – Partner with operations to understand production costs, stock, wastage and variances.
• People Leadership – Lead, develop and hold a team of 15-20+ finance professionals accountable.
• Operational Excellence – Improve processes, strengthen controls and ensure the finance function keeps pace with a high-volume FMCG environment.
