Job summary

Placements24 is assisting a leading financial services client in Pretoria, Gauteng, to hire an Operations Excellence Lead. You will identify bottlenecks, design improvements and lead initiatives across departments to elevate efficiency and service quality.

The role requires Lean Six Sigma proficiency, data analysis and strong project management. Expect to drive sustainable changes, engage stakeholders at all levels, and mentor teams while improving process performance and cost outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (BA/BEng/BS).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is highly desirable.
• 5–7 years in operations management or process improvement.
• Experience in financial services or similar industries is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation ability.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of process improvements across operations in Pretoria, Gauteng.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma and other CI tools to identify bottlenecks and streamline workflows.
• Create and maintain process documentation (SOPs, flowcharts) and training materials.
• Manage projects to improve performance, delivering on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with department heads to gain buy-in and ensure adoption.
• Monitor KPIs and provide insights to drive improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.
• Facilitate training sessions to embed a culture of continuous improvement.
