About this role

We are looking for a tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our renewable energy portfolio, which includes Wind, Solar PV, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This is a growth-oriented role ideal for a young professional looking to build a career in the renewable energy sector.

You’ll play a critical support role in procurement, reporting, information management, and community interfacing – all while working closely with our finance, IT, and operational teams. Key responsibilities

Operations Support

  • Assist in the coordination and follow-up of day-to-day operational tasks across all project sites.
  • Manage administrative workflows and support the operations team with various back-office tasks.
  • Coordinate with site teams to collect operational data and documentation.

Procurement Support

  • Manage low-value procurement processes for services, tools, consumables, and minor works.
  • Process purchase requests and follow up on deliveries and invoicing.
  • Maintain an up-to-date procurement tracker for operational needs.

Document & Information Management

  • Ensure accurate and organized storage of operational, compliance, and supplier documentation.
  • Maintain filing systems (both digital and physical) and contribute to SharePoint or other platforms used for knowledge management.
  • Support the digitization and automation of operations workflows in collaboration with the IT department.

Reporting

  • Assist in the preparation of regular internal and external reports, including O&M dashboards, monthly performance reports, and compliance summaries.
  • Coordinate data collection from different departments and project sites.

Community & Stakeholder Interface

  • Support the opening and administration of accounts and services in local communities (e.g., municipal accounts, local suppliers, service providers).
  • Build basic relationships with local stakeholders under guidance from senior team members.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Interface closely with Finance (e.g., invoice processing, budget tracking) and IT (e.g., systems setup, troubleshooting, tools integration).
  • Participate in team meetings and special projects to improve operational efficiency and digital workflows.

General Tasks (non-exhaustive)

  • Ensure each asset fulfils obligations and exercises rights under O&M Agreement
  • Manage key stakeholder relations with O& Contractors and third-party service providers.
  • Manage and compile monthly stakeholder reports
  • Prepare annual plans and budgets
  • Maintain documents in line with the team's filing and project management system.
  • Supporting the development team during bidding and financial close
  • Visit project sites quarterly and as necessary.
  • Represent Mulilo, as required, in other meetings, sub-committees, and formal structures.

Required skills and education background.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of work experience (internships or part-time work considered).
  • Strong computer literacy – Excel, Word, PowerPoint are a must; exposure to SharePoint, Power BI, or ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally to operational sites.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable navigating multiple systems and platforms.
