Job summary

Dante Personnel Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Manager for Johannesburg CBD, SA. The role oversees the operations and maintenance of Head Office and all customer sites, including KZN, with a hands-on engineering focus.

The ideal candidate has Millwright Red Seal or BTech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 8–12 years in a similar field, PLC troubleshooting, and strong maintenance planning experience. Travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• Matric or relevant NQF 4 qualification.
• Millwright Red Seal Trade qualification or BTech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 8–12 years experience in a similar field.
• Hands-on technical experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, instrumentation, electrical systems.
• PLC troubleshooting and programming experience.
• MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
• Medically fit to work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations and maintenance of Head Office and all customer sites, including sites in KZN.
• Travel to sites as required and ensure continuous operational readiness.

Operations and Maintenance Manager

R 86 500.00 basic plus benefits

Johhannesburg CBD

Responsible for the operations and maintenance of Head Office and all customer sites (inclusive of customer sites in KZN)

Minimum requirements:

• Matric or relevant NQF 4 qualification
• Millwright Red Seal Trade qualification or BTech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 8-12 years experience in a similar field
• Hands-on technical experience working with pneumatics, hydraulic, instrumentation, electrical systems
• PLC troubleshooting and programming experience
• Computer literate on Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook
• Must have valid driver’s license and own vehicle
• Medically fit to work at heights
• Willing to travel to sites and KZN
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance
• Knowledge of natural gas compressors, generators, PRMS’, regulators
• Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, etc.)
• Maintenance planning and critical spares control is essential
• Technical/Engineering, Projects and Operations knowledge
