Location : Gauteng - Westrand and Pretoria
Minimum Requirements :
Grade 12 or equivalent at NQF level 4 (essential)
Diploma in supply chain management, transportation, safety management, or equivalent at NQF level 5 (essential)
Code B Driver's License (essential) + Own reliable vehicle
At least 3 years of experience in an operations environment (essential)
One year supervisory experience (desirable)
Job Responsibilities :
Manage performance objectives of clusters, monitor, and apply corrective measures on performance exceptions, and escalate to area manager when necessary.
Coordinate, manage, and control contracted driver availability & schedules daily and weekly as per cluster requirements.
Conduct daily & weekly compliance checks on drivers and assets, ensuring all resources are in order and meet legal and regulatory standards.
Support physical asset issuance, uniform distribution, and campaign-related articles, ensuring timely completion of AODs.
Maintain daily face-to-face interactions with independent contractors, provide on-the-job training, and address driver queries promptly.
Gather driver feedback, communicate with the business, and implement plans to address barriers to performance or improve alignment.
Review and recommend improvements to driver self-service platforms.
Engage daily with contracted drivers to resolve issues and identify training opportunities.
Report incidents and accidents accurately and promptly, supporting drivers in these situations.
Contribute to cluster improvements through suggestions and recommendations.
Prepare and submit budget inputs as required.
Performance Measures :
Achievement of daily store KPIs aligned with customer service agreements.
Effective daily contractor headcount management as per schedules.
Compliance with store and driver audits, maintaining required standards.
Accurate asset, uniform, and campaign article reconciliation.
Regular toolbox talks and on-the-job training sessions.
Timely resolution of driver queries and incidents.
Support in accident claims and follow-up processes.
Contribute to budget planning and subcontractor retention improvements.
