Who We're Looking For :

We are seeking an experienced Operational Financial Manager to join the team of extraordinary people delivering extraordinary service.

You will be responsible for providing financial management support and advice (typically in the form of financial reports, cost control & financial trends and ratio’s) to stakeholders of the OPCO, in order to enable them to make sound business decisions. In addition, you will assume the primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, managing and controlling all financial-related activities within Village N Life, ensuring financial practices and information are in line with company policies and all statutory legislation & regulations.

While the emphasis of this role is on managing all financial reporting, risk and compliance related systems and processes, it encompasses the support of the operational senior management team in taking a strategic approach to financial decision making and key analytics.

What is required :

To manage and control all operational and accounting aspects of the following functions :

  • Presentation of Monthly Management Accounts & Financial Reporting
  • Cost Analysis & Control
  • Tax Compliance
  • Treasury Function & Cash Control
  • Stock Control
  • Fleet Management
  • Payroll
  • Fixed Assets
  • Budgeting & Budgetary Control
  • Accounts receivable
  • Operational involvement and support
  • External Audit & Preparation of Annual Financial Statements (AFS)
  • Leadership and Management
  • Ad-Hoc Requests
  • Provide support to on various matters that can include Fleet management, procurement, leases, asset sales, archiving

Minimum Requirements :

  • Grade 12 or equivalent is essential
  • Degree in Hons with articles or equivalent essential CIMA, (SA) preferable
  • 2 or more years’ experience in a management position within Accounting or
  • Computer literate with advanced skills in MS Office
  • Hospitality & Tourism industry experience beneficial
  • Advanced Financial Accounting systems knowledge (SAGE Partner or Evolution)

Communication : Verbal communication and comprehension on professional English standard / Other languages an advantage

Cognition / thinking : Apply concrete analysis and reasoning / Strong Decision making & judgement skills

Personal effectiveness : Self-Stress Management / Attention to detail / Strong principles and solid integrity

Management qualities : Business Alignment / Strategic Vision / Implement and monitor financial accounting systems
