• Completion of EMC training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines is desirable.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To deliver excellent critical care within the operational environment based on sound clinical judgment, current evidence, and to display clinical leadership with ER24.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Oversee and ensure operational readiness for emergency calls
• Administer patient care in line with scope of practice
• Market and maintain a positive public image for ER24
• Provide basic shift administration services

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• ESSENTIAL: Bachelors of Technology (BTech) Emergency Medical Care or Bachelor Emergency Medical Care
• DESIRED: Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (training during probation if not compliant at application)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• ESSENTIAL: Newly qualified ECP / Operational EMS experience
• DESIRED: Previous EMS Operational experience

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Facilities, travel routes, and demographical area
• HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice
• Application of best practice
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
