Mediclinic Southern Africa invites applications for an emergency medical responder role aligned with ER24. You will attend to emergency calls and provide basic medical care in line with the scope of the practice, while ensuring readiness and maintaining a professional image for the service.

Essential education is a Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate; desired training on Health Professions Council of SA Clinical Practice Guidelines.

Formación

• ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate.
• Experience in emergency medical response on road is required.
• Understanding HPCSA guidelines is preferred.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate

DESIRED EDUCATION: Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous. If not compliant with the clinical practice guidelines at the time of application you will be required to complete this training during your probation period if successful in your application.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 6 months – 1-year road BLS experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years road BLS experience

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Facilities, travel routes and demographical area
• HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice
• Application of best practice
