Job summary

A leading emergency medical services provider seeks an Emergency Medical Care Assistant in Potchefstroom. The successful candidate will respond to emergency calls and provide medical care in line with their qualifications and practice scope. Essential qualifications include an Ambulance Emergency Assistant Certificate and prior EMS experience.

Qualifications

• Ambulance Emergency Assistant Certificate or Higher Certificate in Emergency Medical Care required.
• 1 year EMS experience essential; 1 year ILS experience desirable.
• Training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines is advantageous.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Ambulance Emergency Assistant Certificate or Higher certificate in Emergency Medical Care

DESIRED EDUCATION: Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous. If not compliant with the clinical practice guidelines at the time of application you will be required to complete this training during your probation period if successful in your application

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE : 1 year EMS experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE : 1 year ILS experience
