Job summary

Datonomy Solutions in Cape Town is seeking a SAP BW Developer for a 12-month onsite contract to contribute to a centralized Data & Analytics division.

You will translate business requirements, map source data structures for data extractions, and create transformations to clean and standardize data for reporting.

The role delivers scalable data assets for actionable insights, supports SAP Analytics Cloud and BI tools, and collaborates with BW architects and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data science, CS, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or related field.
• 4+ years as BW Developer with at least 2 years on SAP BW4Hana.
• SAP Certification beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance BW objects such as InfoObjects, ADSO, Composite Provider, Info Providers.
• Develop data flows from source to target using LSA++ methodologies.
• Create ABAP routines and transformations for data cleansing and standardization.
• Load data from SAP ECC/S/4HANA and non-SAP sources; validate mappings.
• Create and maintain BW queries; enable connectivity for SAC, Analysis for Office, BO tools.
• Apply pushdown calculations and optimize performance; troubleshoot slow queries and bottlenecks.
• Produce technical specs, unit tests, and SOPs; follow transport and release practices.
• Collaborate with BW architects, analysts, and business stakeholders; provide L3 support.
