Job summary

Datonomy Solutions (Pty) Ltd in Cape Town is seeking a SAP BW Developer to join our team on an initial 12-month onsite contract. You will help build a future-fit, centralised Data & Analytics division to support better decision making and unlock commercial value from data.

From translating business requirements and mapping source system data structures for data extractions to creating advanced transformations logic to clean and standardize the data for reporting, this role delivers scalable data

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
4+ years as BW Developer with at least 2 years on SAP BW4HANA.
Strong ABAP programming and AMDP skills.
BEx query performance optimization fundamentals.
Capable data analysis using SQL.

Responsibilities

Build and enhance BW objects (InfoObjects, ADSO, Composite Provider, Info Providers).
Develop data flows from source to target using LS A++ methodologies.
Load data from SAP ECC/S/4HANA extractors, ODP sources, SLT, flat files, APIs.
Create and maintain BW queries (BEx, Eclipse).
Support SAP Analytics Cloud, Analysis for Office, SAP BO tools and Snowflake EDW integration.
Apply performance best practices (pushdown, ADSO design) and troubleshoot slow queries.
Produce technical specs, unit test evidence and SOPs.
Collaborate with BW architect, analysts and business stakeholders.
