Job summary

Utopia Design is seeking an on-site MEP Engineer to support a luxury hospitality project in Cape Town. This fully onsite role requires relocation to the Cape Town region and reports to the MEP Manager and Head of Construction.

The ideal candidate has 7–15 years of experience in design consultancy or as a general contractor, with strong English communication and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and procurement teams to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with HVAC focus.
7–15 years of design consultancy or general contractor experience.
Experience on low-rise residential and hospitality projects.
Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
Professional level English communication.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to design teams and contractors throughout the design process.
Review Electrical/HVAC/Plumbing design for project requirements compliance.
Collaborate to optimise systems integration across disciplines.
Timely resolve technical issues during design phase.
Stay updated on industry codes and regulations.
Assist with change management and tracking variations.
