Job summary

Netcare Olivedale Hospital is seeking a Clinical Engineering Technician to manage the medical equipment fleet and ensure maintenance according to manufacturer specifications and Health Technology Regulations.

You will implement and maintain the CMMS (SAP PM) for all equipment, conduct audits, and support six-month reviews. Strong planning and documentation skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (NQF level 6) or equivalent.
• Eligible for professional registration as a Technician (ECSA).
• 1 year experience in maintenance/management of medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain medical equipment per manufacturer specs and regulations.
• Implement and maintain CMMS (SAP PM) for all medical equipment.
• Plan and execute timely preventive maintenance using CMMS.
• Ensure asset barcoding and documentation on CMMS.
• Conduct six-month audits of CMMS data and equipment.
• Prepare 5-year replacement plan and obtain approvals.
