iOCO Infrastructure Services Invites You to Explore Possibilities.

We are seeking an Onsite L3 VMware Engineer to join our team. As a technical expert, you'll specialize in VMware solutions, and you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining virtualization infrastructure. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, performance tuning, and providing strategic guidance on VMware environments to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.

What you’ll do:

• VMWare – 8 to 10 years
• Maintain the different vCenter, cluster, and DC environments and usage.
• Knowledge on VMware Horizon environment 7 and 8

Instant Clones/Recomposing of existing VDI's:

• Troubleshoot performance issues on hosts and VMs
• Knowledge on vROPS and Log Insights
• SRM with Nutanix replication

DR tests performed every 3 months, onsite required, and knowledgeable on SRM failover testing.

• Upgrade of ESXi, vCenters, and VMware platforms
• Log calls with VMware support if and when required

Handle any vulnerabilities with urgent attention:

• HPE hardware support
• High-paced 24x7 environment with a lot of different technologies, so knowing how network and security plugs into an estate is advised.
• Adding resources to VMs.
• Maintenance tasks such as upgrades are done on weekends only

Other information applicable to the opportunity:

• Contract Position (12 Months)
• Work environment: High-paced 24x7 environment with a lot of different technologies, so knowing how network and security plugs into an estate is advised. Adding of resources to VMs. Maintenance tasks such as upgrades are done on weekends only
• Physical demands: Normal office work, remote work, and in some cases Datacentre visits.
• Travel: To client site when working from the office once or twice a week
