Facilitate synchronous and asynchronous learning activities, encouraging student participation and critical thinking. Provide timely and detailed feedback on student assignments, experiments, and assessments. Offer individualized academic support and guidance to students through virtual meetings and online communication channels. Monitor student progress, analyze performance data, and implement strategies to improve learning outcomes. Collaborate with fellow educators and curriculum designers to refine online course content and teaching methodologies. Stay up-to-date with advancements in physics education and online teaching best practices. Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with institutional policies. Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Physics, Physical Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is highly preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching physics at the high school level, with proven experience in online or distance education delivery. Comprehensive knowledge of the South African National Curriculum (CAPS) for Physics or equivalent international standards. Demonstrated ability to effectively teach physics concepts and conduct virtual laboratory experiments. Proficiency in utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS), video conferencing software, and other digital educational tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for explaining scientific principles clearly. Strong organizational and time-management skills, crucial for managing remote responsibilities. A genuine enthusiasm for physics and a dedication to student learning and development.
