About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Online Mathematics Tutor to provide support to students in Grades 8-12. You will be responsible for delivering personalized online tutoring sessions, clarifying complex concepts, and reinforcing learning. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one and small group online tutoring sessions in Mathematics for Grades 8-12.
• Explain mathematical concepts, theories, and problem-solving techniques clearly and effectively via online platforms.
• Develop personalized learning plans based on individual student needs and academic goals.
• Assist students in completing homework assignments and preparing for tests and examinations.
• Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to build student confidence and foster a positive learning attitude.
• Utilize interactive online tools and resources to enhance the tutoring experience.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress, session notes, and any challenges encountered.
• Communicate regularly with students and, where appropriate, their parents or guardians regarding progress.
• Stay updated on curriculum changes and effective online tutoring strategies relevant to the George, Western Cape educational context.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematical Sciences, or a related field.
• A teaching qualification is advantageous.
• Proven experience as a Mathematics tutor or teacher, preferably with online or remote students.
