Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Online Assessment Designer for a fully remote role in online higher education. You will design robust, valid, and reliable assessments for university courses, collaborating with SMEs and instructional designers to cover exams, quizzes, projects, and performance tasks within an LMS.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree or PhD in Educational Measurement or related field, at least 6 years of assessment design experience, strong psychometrics knowledge,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Educational Measurement, Psychometrics, Educational Psychology, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in assessment design, development, and validation, preferably in higher education.
• Strong understanding of psychometric principles, classical test theory, and item response theory (IRT).
• Experience with LMS platforms (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle) and diverse assessment formats.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop online assessments for higher education courses across disciplines.
• Collaborate with SMEs and instructional designers to align items with learning objectives.
• Ensure assessments are valid, reliable, fair, and culturally responsive.

Key Responsibilities
