Job description

Primary purpose of the job: Providing proper patient care as per GPP (Good Pharmacy Practice) regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Chemo mixing experience.
  2. Available for overtime and emergencies as requested with relevant remuneration.
  3. Assist with arranging locum when on leave or sick leave.
  4. Receiving and monitoring stock received against booking lists.
  5. Helping with review and order of booking list.
  6. Monitoring, selecting, and charging of consumables used per patient.
  7. Stock management and control.
  8. Replenishing consignment stock orders.
  9. Return and credit of medication.
  10. Working according to GPP and Medipost standards.
  11. Assisting with training and general patient wellness at Netcare practice.
  12. Adhering to OHS requirements.
  13. Adhering to twice-yearly medical surveillance requirements.
  14. Adhering to Medipost and relevant Netcare SOP's.
  15. Arranging equipment maintenance.
  16. Adhering to ISO standards for auditing purposes.
  17. Well-spoken with great communication skills.
  18. Attention to detail.
  19. Participation in unit/Netcare quality projects.
  20. MSDS updates per drug delivery.
  21. Chemo-specific compounding guidelines ad hoc for pharmacist with relevant SOP/Policy.
  22. Operational requirements.
  23. Completion of daily work according to level requirement.
  24. SLA compliance.
  25. Calls and emails received handled professionally and confidentially with accurate information provided in a time cautious manner.
  26. Queries appropriately followed up and finalized.
  27. Customer service and internal process compliance (Quality assurance).
  28. IR intervention (QA, IPC, Stock returns log, other).
  29. Customer Satisfaction (Compliments).
  30. Focus on minimizing errors and customer-related complaints.
  31. SOP compliance.
  32. Staff behavior.
  33. Productive and available according to hours stipulated in the contract.
  34. ESS management of leave according to company policies and requirements.
  35. Eco time compliance with daily clocking procedures according to company policies and requirements.
  36. TWB option used correctly by notifying the manager and subsequently completing ESS process.
  37. Housekeeping compliance at % as per company expectation on a quarterly audit.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Grade 12.
  2. Minimum 2 years as a pharmacist, including internship and community service.
  3. Need to be registered at SAPC.
  4. Sound knowledge of Pharmacy Act.
