Job description

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Weekly Technical meeting.
• Weekly Progress meeting.
• Safety/production and planning meetings: daily, weekly and monthly (once established on the work site).
• Assist the Site Manager with and provide information for the following reports:
• Weekly progress report.
• Monthly safety report
• Monthly tyre survey reports
• Monthly tyre replacement report
• Monthly Rim report
• Monthly KPI Reports
• Actual cost Reports
• Machine Operator Assessment Reports
• Monitoring of operating environment through site severity studies with reports to mining department
• Annual work capability factor reports (Front end loaders)
• Operational TKPH Assessment) – Rigid Dump Trucks and Articulated Dump Trucks
• Assisting in the procurement of the correct tyres (tyre compounds suitable for the operational environment)
• Assisting in prescribing the correct tyre and tyre specification for future procurement of machines.
• Monthly tyre inspections on tyre running highlighting possible problem areas.
• Monthly inspections on rims, studs, valve caps and records of results obtained.
• Scrap tyre analysis to be done
• The contractor will assist in a continuous improvement process plan and will also be responsible for driving costs down

Tyre Maintenance: Daily Tasks:

• Accurate pressure maintenance
• Superficial inspections
• Action reports
• Timeous removals
• Matching of tyres
• Rotation of tyres
• Removal of trapped stones
• Daily reports

Rim Maintenance: Daily Tasks:

• Missing nuts and studs
• Loose nuts and studs
• Damaged components
• Mismatched components
• Daily Reports
• Assist in compiling a rim standard

General Information:

• Company Site Vehicle Provided. Work to Home is allowed
• 45 Hrs. per week. Weekends if required. Overtime applies within company policies
• Must live within 50Km from Belfast, Mpumalanga

• +5 Years on site OTR Experience, Moderate commuter literacy – Excel, Word, PPT. Experience in Tyre Management software data population.
