Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics in Durban, South Africa, seeks an On-Site Import Controller to coordinate end-to-end import orders, shipping documents, customs clearance and delivery execution. You will manage documentation, SAP reporting, and liaison with suppliers and stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications

• End-to-end coordination of import orders, shipping documentation, customs clearance, delivery execution.
• Coordinate on-site import and logistics activities from order reporting through customs clearance.
• Strong import, customs-clearance and logistics coordination capability.

Responsibilities

• Order & shipment administration.
• Download and maintain SAP order reports, including shipped-order information, invoice details, purchase orders and shipping data.
• Identify order or data discrepancies and escalate them promptly to the planner for correction.
• Maintain the central Excel shipment tracker and distribute accurate, current information to relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare DSV clearance instructions and upload document packs for authorised sign-off.
• Monitor arrival notifications and coordinate customs clearance as soon as ANFs are received.
