Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within cleaning or sanitation services.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and cleaning equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in the workplace.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be available for full-time, on-site work in Soweto, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of the facility's cleaning and sanitation staff.
• Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of all facility areas to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
• Train new cleaning staff on proper techniques, safety procedures, and the use of equipment.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock and proper storage.
• Ensure all cleaning staff adhere to health and safety regulations and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Respond to immediate cleaning needs and address any sanitation issues promptly.
• Maintain records of cleaning activities, staff performance, and supply usage.
• Communicate effectively with facility management regarding cleaning operations and any concerns.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment for the cleaning team.
