Job summary

Old Mutual South Africa is seeking a Financial Adviser to work on-site in Sandton, Gauteng. The role focuses on understanding clients' financial needs, presenting tailored plans, and delivering integrated financial solutions across investments, insurance, and retirement planning.

Prospective advisers will build a client base, maintain relationships, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliant service delivery.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Financial Planning, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
• RE5 and FAIS-compliant qualification, or willingness to obtain within the required timeframe.
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, investments, insurance, and retirement solutions.
• Proven sales, networking, or business development skills.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and client service skills.
• High levels of integrity, professionalism, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital financial planning tools.
• CFP designation or progress towards obtaining it will be advantageous.
• Valid driver's license and own vehicle will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Strong Financial Planning and Financial Advisory skills, with the ability to assess client needs and develop appropriate financial solutions.
• Sound knowledge of Finance, Investments, Risk Management, Insurance, and Wealth Creation principles.
• Retirement Planning expertise to assist clients in achieving long-term financial security and wealth preservation.
• Experience in financial services, insurance, banking, investments, wealth management, or sales will be advantageous.
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and professionally.
• Demonstrated client service orientation, networking ability, and business development skills with a proven ability to grow and maintain a client base.
• High levels of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in line with regulatory and company standards.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital financial planning tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage a portfolio of clients, and achieve business targets within a compliant framework.
