Placements24 is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage the end-to-end procurement of capital equipment for major projects on-site in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, ZA. This fixed-term contract role requires expertise in specifications, supplier selection, and contract management to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in capital equipment procurement, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with ERP systems.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, SCM, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in procurement for capital equipment or major projects.
• Proven experience negotiating high-value contracts.
• Strong understanding of technical specifications and project management.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and on-site collaboration skills.

Mansioni

• Manage end-to-end procurement for capital equipment, including planning, sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
• Develop specifications and technical requirements for capital equipment with engineering and project teams.
• Identify, evaluate, and select qualified suppliers and vendors for capital equipment purchases.
• Lead complex negotiations to achieve best pricing, terms and delivery schedules.
• Administer supplier contracts, ensuring compliance and managing disputes or claims.
• Coordinate with logistics and site teams to ensure timely delivery, installation and commissioning.
