Job summary

Ubuntu Technology (PTY) Ltd is seeking a Cabling Site Manager to oversee daily site operations for cabling infrastructure projects. You will lead on-site teams, coordinate resources, monitor progress and ensure work is delivered safely, on schedule, and to specification.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on experience in structured cabling and fibre installations, with strong leadership, planning and problem-solving skills, a valid driver’s licence, and willingness to travel to project

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years' hands-on experience in structured cabling or ICT infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and on-site project execution capabilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, site layouts and project specifications.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations and cabling installation activities.
• Ensure activities meet approved scope, specifications, timelines and budget.
• Coordinate daily work schedules, site access, resources and project requirements.
• Identify potential delays, risks and site-related challenges and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor project progress against plans and milestones.
• Supervise cabling technicians, installation teams and subcontractors.
• Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
