Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Blockchain Security Engineer for an on-site role in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities in blockchain networks, smart contracts, and dApps, working closely with incident response teams.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in cybersecurity with blockchain expertise, proficiency in Solidity, and hands-on experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessment in crypto environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years in cybersecurity with blockchain security focus.
• Deep knowledge of blockchain tech, cryptography and smart contract security.
• Proficiency with security assessment tools, including penetration testing and static/dynamic analysis.
• Experience with Solidity and common blockchain vulnerabilities; familiarity with security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security audits and penetration tests on blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and dApps.
• Identify, analyze, and report security vulnerabilities.
• Develop and implement security measures to protect networks and assets.
• Respond to security incidents with timely mitigation strategies.
• Develop security tools and scripts to automate detection and analysis.
• Stay updated on threats and best practices in blockchain security.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed security in the SDLC.
• Perform code reviews focused on security for smart contracts.
