Placements24 is seeking a vigilant and analytical Blockchain Security Analyst to join its remote team based in Welkom, South Africa. You will identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across blockchain networks, smart contracts, and dApps, protecting digital assets and ensuring the integrity of our client's infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in cybersecurity with at least 2 years focused on blockchain security.
• Proficiency in analyzing smart contract code (Solidity) for security flaws.
• Understanding of blockchain technology, cryptography, and attack vectors.
• Experience with security assessment tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security audits of smart contracts, blockchain protocols, and dApps to identify vulnerabilities.
• Monitor blockchain networks for suspicious activities and threats.
• Develop security best practices, policies, and procedures for blockchain operations.
• Perform risk assessments and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen security posture.
• Investigate security incidents, respond to breaches, and assist in recovery efforts.
