Job Description
Old Mutual Finance was established in 2008 to provide unsecured lending products and services to the SA market. The business started with a staff compliment of 34 and has since grown to over 3000 staff with more than 300 branches nationally. Within our branches we offer insurance lending products as well as servicing.
Old Mutual Finance is currently seeking to hire a Human Capital Business Partner (Sales & Distribution Gauteng & Central). The successful incumbent will report to the OMF Snr Human Capital Business Partner and be responsible for building business partner relationships with Business Leaders driving Human Capital programs policies and interventions to impact business performance and achieve business strategic objectives.
Minimum Requirements :
This role provides input into BU and Segment People Plan with the core focus being on developing and implementing tactical HR people plans to drive organisation effectiveness. This role partners with Senior Management teams and is responsible for the implementation HR plans and advisory services. May manage a small team of HR Professionals in a large team.
Responsibilities
Policy Development and Implementation
Develop procedures and interpret and apply policy for area of expertise to achieve specified outputs or advise the wider business on application of policy then monitor implementation of those procedures within the organization.
HR Frameworks and Tools
Identify requirements for HR frameworks and tools for recruitment performance management development career and succession planning compensation and benefits diversity employee onboarding and offboarding and retention of talent within an important area of responsibility to meet business or institution needs. Enable the attraction development and retention of talent at a sustainable cost. Specify the design and manage development and implementation ensuring compliance with external requirements and integration with the broader HR policy framework.
Information and Business Advice
Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures resolving complex or contentious queries and issues and enabling others to take appropriate actions.
HR Data Analytics and Insights
Investigate complex hypotheses using a wide range of HR data to diagnose underlying causes of key business issues and identify opportunities to enhance employee engagement and / or improve business performance.
Employee Relations Case Management
Investigate and propose solutions for very complex and / or contentious employee relations cases in liaison with line managers; coordinate the organizations response to legal cases brought by individuals; contribute to the preparation of legal submissions and ensure all parties complete casework accurately and within deadlines.
HR Data Management
Specify develop and test HR data collection procedures and tools within an area of HR practice to meet defined key principles and ensure compliance with external requirements.
Personal Capability Building
Act as subject matter expert in an area of technology policy regulation or operational management for the team. Maintain external accreditations and indepth understanding of current and emerging external regulation and industry best practices through continuing professional development attending conferences and reading specialist media.
Internal Client Relationship Management
Manage relationships with internal clients and act as a business partner to them building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust and managing the deployment of appropriate internal and / or external resources to support in delivering business strategy and plans.
