Job Description

This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and financial education, and achieving lending, servicing, transactional banking, and insurance sales targets through marketing and selling Old Mutual products.

The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through their own efforts.

  • Meet monthly sales targets in lending, transactional banking, and insurance.
  • Service existing Old Mutual policies, facilitate claims, and attend to customer complaints to meet Net Promoter Score (NPS) requirements.
  • Check loan application documentation for accuracy, authenticity, compliance, and completeness.
  • Accurately capture all client information on Summit as per loan application and supporting documents.
  • Suspend or reject loan applications as needed, and re-quote when necessary.
  • Report suspicious or fraudulent documents to the Branch Manager.
  • Explain the loan application process to clients to facilitate understanding.
  • Explain terms and conditions of Old Mutual Finance products.
  • Issue copies of contracts/agreements to clients.
  • Print loan agreements for client signatures.
  • Correct altered loan application information and reprint for signatures.
  • Follow up on clients with missed installments.
  • Meet collection and arrears targets.
  • Educate clients on responsible credit use and money management.
  • Establish new business pipelines through marketing, lead generation, and cross-selling.
  • Adhere to regulatory and legislative standards to ensure quality and mitigate risks.
  • Build relationships within the branch for intra-branch referrals.
  • Provide excellent face-to-face and telephonic customer service.
  • Project a professional image by adhering to dress code, housekeeping, and conduct standards.
  • Build sustainable relationships to enhance the brand.
  • Deliver on daily production and service quality standards.
  • Process lending products and verify required information.
Minimum Requirements
  • National Senior Certificate or equivalent NQF level 4
  • At least 1 year of sales or service experience, preferably in retail, banking, or financial industries
