Translates business requirements into detailed functional specifications that undergo business stakeholder review.
KEY RESULT AREAS
Requirements Management
- Plan and coordinate the identification and elicitation of requirements; conduct analysis of those requirements for completion and alignment; document and manage requirements throughout the life of the project; and coordinate the verification of the end deliverable. Generally done at the project level.
Data Collection and Analysis
- Make authoritative recommendations that have a significant impact on the business over the short and long term.
- Recommendations could be technical or professional in nature.
Database Specifications
- Approve complex database specifications, ensuring that all agreed standards and protocols are followed and data integrity is preserved.
- Suggest improvements for standards and protocols for database specifications.
Analysis of "As Is" and "To Be"
- Document the most complex "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required.
Business Requirements Identification
- Elicit the most-complex business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis, to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.
Feasibility Studies
- Conduct complex feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective and document findings to complete cost-benefit analysis on implementing changes to business processes, products, or business unit structure.
Horizon Scanning
- Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and evaluate their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.
Enterprise Business Analysis
- Interpret the business need and identify solution recommendations to business problems at a business unit level. Lead the improvement efforts to be made that are within span of control at this level.
Business Case
- Lead the development, presentation, and continuous review of project business cases; make evidence-based recommendations on the initiation and termination of projects.
Documentation and Backup
- Create and maintain complex technical and/or user documentation to a high standard, and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.
Culture of Innovation
- Define the execution plan to disseminate innovative capabilities across the businesses, helping people develop these competencies and enabling them to innovate through solutions such as idea generation platforms, jam sessions, and hackathons.
Personal Capability Building
- Act as subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team and beyond in the function.
- Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging technologies, external regulation, and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. Ideally, majors include Computer Science, or Information Technology Management.
- 6+ years in senior Business Analysis, Business Architecture, Solutions Architecture roles in Financial Services and Financial technologies will be an added advantage
- Experience in modeling business processes by using various tools and techniques (e.g. UML).
- Experience with enterprise architecture modeling tools.

- Experience with business process modeling, enterprise architecture, and associated tools.
- Ability to visualize growth and build high-level models for future analysis and maturing the current business architecture.
- Ability to partner with stakeholders to document and communicate values generated from the new capabilities and processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex subjects into actionable recommendations.
- Program/project management skills and the ability to set clear goals to get desired results.
