Job description

Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.

About the YES Initiative

The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over 12 months.

Position : Office Administrator

Stipend : R5 200 pm

POSITION INFO :

The Office Administrator provides administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the office.

This includes managing day-to-day activities, maintaining records and databases, handling correspondence, and performing various tasks to support staff and management.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist on preparing documents for all meetings.
  • Assist in monitoring leave register for all sections.π
  • Photocopying and E-mailing.
  • Attending meetings and minute’s scriber.
  • Perform any duties that may be delegated by officials.
  • Generate a report as required by the mentor and / or supervisor.
  • Follow up on outstanding correspondence.
  • Filing and records management.
  • Record incoming and outgoing documents.
  • Assist in ordering office stationary supplies.
  • Controlling the stationary register as well as the physical control of the stationary.

Requirements :

  • South African unemployed youth aged between the ages of 18 and 34.
  • Must not have participated in the YES Programme previously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Management or equivalent.
  • Excellent organisational, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High ethical standards and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and digital literacy skills and excellent with spreadsheets
  • Experience managing donor expectations and reporting impact.
  • Bookkeeping or finance admin knowledge beneficial
  • Highly attentive to detail
  • Highly engaging with some track record of caring for stakeholders
  • Innovative and focused on continuous improvements
  • Self-starter with a keen interest in education-aligned philanthropic initiatives
