Job summary

A local administrative services provider in Durban seeks an experienced administrator to manage day-to-day office tasks and finance assistance, including creditors and debtors work. The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of relevant experience and strong skills in MS Office and customer service principles. A background in SAGE 200 and SharePoint is advantageous. The position offers a dynamic work environment with a focus on initiative and deadline-driven tasks.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years experience in Finance or in a similar position.
  • 2-3 years creditors/debtors experience.
  • 2-3 years experience in an administrative role.

About the Role

Attend to visitors and deal with inquiries on the phone and face to face. Responsible to assist with day-to-day admin tasks in the Office & Finance assistance (inclusive of creditors and debtors administrative work).

Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • Office administration certificate / Finance certificate

Experience

  • 2-3 years’ Experience in Finance or in a similar position
  • 2-3 years creditors / debtors experience
  • 2-3 years’ Experience in an administrative role
  • SAGE 200/Evolution or related software packages
  • SharePoint.
  • Experience in a bid/Tenders (advantage)

Required Knowledge

  • Excellent writing and proof-reading skills with an eye for detail
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
  • Switchboard /PABX system
  • Relevant software application (MS Office Suite)

  • Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of initiative to tight deadlines and provide innovative thinking around administration.
