Our client, an established wine producer, is looking for a skilled Key Accounts Manager to become part of their expanding sales division based in Cape Town. This represents an outstanding opportunity for an experienced alcoholic beverage industry professional to manage critical national retail partnerships and deliver substantial revenue growth.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Create and implement targeted account strategies to optimize market reach and revenue generation
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements to uncover expansion opportunities
  • Relationship Management: Establish and nurture strategic alliances with leading retailers such as Shoprite, Pick n Pay, Spar, Makro, and other major wholesalers
  • Reporting: Deliver comprehensive sales analytics, market intelligence, and strategic guidance to executive leadership
  • Sales Growth: Accelerate volume performance and meet challenging revenue objectives across your national account portfolio
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with marketing and regional sales divisions to ensure flawless implementation

Essential Experience:

  • Established relationships with leading South African retailers and wholesalers
  • 10+ years in the alcoholic beverage trade
  • Demonstrated success in meeting sales objectives within FMCG/alcoholic beverage sector
  • 5+ years in key account management within off-trade retail channels
