Glasshouse Recruiting is seeking an Occupational Therapist to work in a mental health environment, supporting individuals to reach daily living and community participation goals.

The role involves assessments, group and individual therapy, and active participation in inter-disciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and progress.

Formación

• BSc Occupational Therapy degree (community service year completed).
• Registered with HPCSA (independent practitioner).
• CPD standing as required by HPCSA.
• Valid driver’s license and own transport.
• 2 years or more relevant experience in Mental Health/Addiction.
• Strong communication, safety and quality mindset.
• Willingness to change, humility and perseverance.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Good with marketing and networking.
• Passionate about development and coaching of people.

The main purpose of this position:

An occupational therapist (OT) working in a mental health environment has a crucial role in helping individuals with mental health conditions achieve their maximum potential in daily living and community participation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Day to day responsibilities will include assessments, group therapy sessions, individual sessions where indicated and patient meetings.
• Inter-disciplinary teamwork is a crucial part of the day-to-day activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• BSc Occupational Therapy (community service year completed)
• Maintain CPD standing as required by HPCSA
• Registered with HPCSA (independent practitioner & INSTOPP/OTASA Membership and Malpractice Insurance)
• Valid driver’s license and own transport
• 2 years or more relevant experience in Mental Health/Addiction environment
