Occupational Therapist

King David Ariel a Remedial Primary School, situated on the Victory Park campus, is seeking a dynamic, innovative and highly experienced Occupational Therapist with relevant qualifications, for this position.

The essential qualities, skills and requirements for the position are:

  • Holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Occupational Therapy.
  • Have a proven academic record and a minimum of 5 year working experience in paediatric Occupational Therapy.
  • Has completed or is in the process of completing Sensory Integration certification through SAISI or equivalent.
  • Experience in additional therapeutic programs such as Snoezelen therapy, interactive metronome or Tomatis would be advantageous.
  • Has a passion for working with children with barriers to learning.
  • Can work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills enabling effective communication and interaction with colleagues, parents and learners.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and create collegiality within the school.
  • Prepared to embrace the ethos of a Jewish Day School.
  • Registered with the HPCSA and OTASA.
