Job description

Fixed term vacancy exists for an Occupational Health Nurse to work 24hrs per week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for rendering a quality occupational health service, which is effective, efficient and exceeds customers' expectations for an Occupational Health clinic in Roodepoort area in Gauteng.

Critical Outputs

1. Maintenance of an Occupational Health program to establish the physical, psychological and social well-being of the worker in a safe working environment.
2. Monitoring the health status of employees through ongoing surveillance programmes according to the SOP.
3. Providing information for clients to eliminate, control, and minimize health risks and hazards.
4. Coordination of emergency procedures.
5. Working effectively within a budget and ensuring smooth administration of all services.
6. Delivering high-quality primary healthcare services.
7. Meeting prescribed professional and quality standards of both Life Health Solutions and clients.
8. Ensuring client satisfaction through continuous improvement and added value.
9. Ensuring compliance with ISO standards and participating in audits.

Requirements

• Qualifications in General Nursing and Occupational Health Nursing (B Tech / Diploma) with 2-3 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Registration with SANC; additional Occupational Health Nursing qualification required.
• Sound knowledge of Occupational and Primary Health Care Services.
• Certificates in dispensing, Spirometry, Audiometry (with SASOHN registration), and Vision Screening.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Computer literacy.
• Experience in administration and employee relations, good communication skills.
• Results-oriented, initiative, and ability to deliver quality outputs.
• Customer focus, teamwork, problem-solving, resilience, influencing skills, motivation, drive, excellence orientation, ethics, and communication skills.
