Production Manager

A nutraceutical facility in the West Rand is seeking a dynamic Production Manager.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in manufacturing, particularly within the nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate in planning and organizing the manufacturing processes of the company.
2. Plan short and medium-term needs of customers.
3. Develop and maintain a monthly production schedule.
4. Manage factory output to ensure schedules are met.
5. Exercise prudent control over operational manpower and expenditures.
6. Establish and attain production metrics to meet customer requirements.
7. Monitor cGMP compliance and address shortcomings immediately.
8. Facilitate cross-departmental communication with QA, QC, Stores, Engineering, and Production.
9. Develop and maintain training programs for GMP, SOP, and Job Functions.
10. Review policies and procedures for relevance and compliance.
11. Assist with validation programs.
12. Ensure standard yields are maintained by production lines.
13. Control production processes and facilities.
14. Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of the factory.
15. Ensure production equipment is in good working order.
16. Maintain discipline and a positive working culture among staff.
17. Prepare daily and monthly production reports.
18. Maintain high safety standards within the factory environment.
19. Troubleshoot production challenges and facilitate effective resolutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years' proven experience in manufacturing/production management within the nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industries.
• Willingness to work extended hours and provide supervisor coverage as needed.
