Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Early Childhood Development (ECD) Practitioner for a learning center in Sandton. The role involves creating a safe, stimulating environment where infants through preschoolers learn and grow holistically.

You will implement development programs, foster social-emotional growth, observe progress, and communicate with parents. A relevant ECD qualification (NQF 4+) and hands-on experience are required, along with patience and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Early Childhood Development (NQF 4 or higher).
• Experience with young children in an ECD setting.
• Strong communication and observational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily activities promoting cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for young children.
• Observe and document milestones, track progress, and identify areas for growth.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about development and classroom activities.
• Ensure health, safety and wellbeing of all children in care.
