Qualifications

• Must have Basic R425 qualification (degree/diploma in nursing) registered with SANC as Professional Nurse with Midwifery.
• Minimum 10 years nursing experience after registration as Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing, with 6+ years in Obstetrics & Gynaecology after post-basic in Midwifery & Neonatal Nursing.
• At least 3 years of the period must be at management level; post-basic qualification in Health Services Management/Nursing Administration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Delegate, supervise and coordinate effective patient care through adequate nursing care.
• Initiate and participate in health promotion with accurate information on health care.
• Develop and maintain relationships with nursing and other stakeholders for teamwork.
• Participate in analysis and formulation of nursing guidelines, norms and standards.
• Manage utilization and supervision of human, financial and material resources.
• Coordinate provision of training and research; night shifts, weekends and holidays as required.
