Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent; R425 Diploma/degree in nursing with SANC registration as Professional Nurse; post basic qualification in Child Nursing (1 year) accredited with SANC.
• Registration with SANC and a post basic nursing qualification (1 year) in Child Nursing.
• Nursing administration qualification registered with SANC.

Responsabilités

• Apply nursing legislation and ethical practices to improve and maintain service delivery.
• Ensure clinical nursing practice by the unit in accordance with scope of practice and standards.
• Promote quality of nursing care as directed by scope and standards.
• Coordinate care with basic HR and financial policies; perform calls and report writing as required.
• Supervise the nursing team and work within a multi-disciplinary team; engage in palliative care.
