Job summary

Mediclinic invites applications for a role providing safe, basic nursing care on site in a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will contribute to patient safety, document nursing interventions accurately, and support a therapeutic environment to enhance patient experience.

Essentially, the role requires a Higher Certificate in Nursing with CPD where possible, knowledge of scope-of-practice regulations, and competence in using Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Higher certificate in nursing (or equivalent) required.
• CPD courses for specific specialty areas desirable.
• Infection prevention and control knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety.
• Contribute to a positive patient experience by assisting in creating a therapeutic environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charted.
