Flourish Research's Valkyrie Clinical Trials Century City, Los Angeles site is hiring a Nurse Supervisor, Oncology to lead daily nursing operations in a high-profile oncology clinical research setting. You will ensure high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient coordination of nursing staff.

The role requires a BSN and CA RN license, with at least 5 years of clinical nursing experience and 1+ year in leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and an active California RN license.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory/lead role.
• Oncology clinical research experience required.
• GCP certification preferred; BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsabilités

We are actively hiring a Nurse Supervisor, Oncology to supportour Valkyrie Clinical Trials Century City, Los Angeles site.

LOCATION: Onsite, Century City, Los Angeles, CA
FLSA: Non-Exempt
HOURS: Monday to Friday, Day Shift, 40 hours per week
COMPENSATION: $75-$90 per hour (depending on experience)

PURPOSE: The Nurse Supervisor leads and oversees daily nursing operations in an oncology clinical research environment, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination of nursing staff. This role combines clinical nursing oversight with leadership responsibilities, coordinating clinic and infusion workflows, acting as a liaison between nursing staff, providers, clinical research staff, and administration. Serves as a lead infusion nurse, including performing IV infusions, and/or injections of blinded and unblinded study drugs, obtaining blood specimens, and maintaining accurate source documentation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Clinical Oversight

1. Monitor patient care delivery to ensure adherence to clinical standards, protocols, and best practices
2. Assesses patient conditions and ensures quality of care
3. Respond to and manage clinical emergencies, escalations, and complex patient situations
4. Ensure accurate and timely documentation in patient records

Staff Management

1. Supervise, schedule, and coordinate assigned nursing staff
2. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management
3. Facilitate onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training for nursing staff
4. Address staffing shortages and coordinate coverage

Quality & Compliance

1. Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and all applicable regulatory requirements and clinic standards.
2. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and track relevant patient care metrics
3. Investigate and respond to incident reports, patient complaints, and safety events
4. Maintain infection control and patient safety protocols
5. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of study data and all participant/patient information.
6. Collaborate with investigators, study coordinators, pharmacy, and other clinical staff to ensure protocol compliance.
7. Participate in training sessions and maintain current knowledge of clinical trial procedures and safety standards; may develop and lead training initiatives for nursing staff.

Administrative Duties

1. Address team resourcing and supply needs
2. Prepare and present reports on team performance, staffing, and incidents to senior leadership
3. Participate in cross functional meetings and represent nursing staff interests
4. Support policy development and implementation

Nursing Duties

1. Perform IV infusion and IM/SQ injections of blinded and unblinded investigational products according to study protocols,
2. Obtain blood specimens and other biological samples from study participants/patients following proper clinical procedures.
3. Ensure accurate and timely source documentation in compliance with GCP and sponsor guidelines.
4. Monitor participants/patients for infusion reactions and adverse events and report and document findings per protocol, regulatory requirements, and site SOPs.

Additional Responsibilities

1. Represent Flourish Research in a professional and courteous manner (verbal, written and in appearance) when interacting with all staff, clients, and vendors.
2. Communicate effectively, compassionately, and professionally with patients and guests, physicians, employees, and all others.
3. Additional duties as assigned by management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND/OR ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

A. Work is performed on-site in an outpatient clinical office setting.

B. Local travel may be required to other sites as applicable.

C. Daily computer use.

D. Exposure to human bodily fluids.

E. Participant/Patient care.

F. Occasional evening and weekend work schedules.

G. Ability to properly lift thirty-five pounds and occasionally more than thirty-five pounds.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

A. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

B. Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.

C. Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Healthcare Administration preferred.

D. ONS/ONCC certification strongly preferred.

E. GCP certification preferred.

F. BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1+ years of supervisory or charge nurse experience. Oncology clinical research experience required.

Knowledge and Skills:

A. Strong working knowledge of clinical research methods and operations.

B. Familiarity with chemotherapy/biotherapy administration standards and oncology regulatory requirements.

C. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.

D. Excellent clinical nursing skills, including proficiency in IV infusion, vascular access, port care, injections, and phlebotomy required.

E. Strong leadership and process improvement skills.

F. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

G. Strong collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

H. Excellent computer skills to include EMR/HER platforms, Office365 and other products.

I. Experience in writing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures.

J. Strong problem solving, judgment, critical thinking, risk assessment and impact analysis abilities.

K. Flexible, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize competing demands.

L. Ability to think independently and influence when appropriate.
