**Responsibilities:** The Nurse Manager is a registered Professional Nurse responsible and accountable for the delivery of patient care on an individual unit. They utilize the nursing process to evaluate and assess patient needs, demonstrate awareness of nursing skills, assign appropriate patient care tasks, collaborate with the healthcare team, promote patient satisfaction, and serve as a patient advocate. They also make recommendations regarding staffing, provide staff counseling, develop and monitor care standards, and ensure compliance with care standards.
**Qualifications:** Minimum of three years experience as a staff nurse, licensed and registered under New York State law, with a BSN degree or national certification preferred. At least three years of nursing supervisory experience with strong organizational and communication skills are required. Leadership experience in behavioral health is also required.
