PURPOSE / DETAILS OF THE JOB
The mission of the Manager in Marketing and Sales Controlling is to provide strategic financial oversight and analytical support to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing and sales activities across New Vehicles, Sales Finance, Remarketing, VAPS, and FMI.
This role involves meticulous financial planning, performance analysis, and resource optimization to drive profitable growth and support the organization’s strategic objectives. The position is pivotal in managing resources, analyzing performance, and providing financial insights to support decision-making in sales and marketing.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Minimum qualification: CA
Post-grad Business Qualification
The candidate should have:
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in the Automotive or Manufacturing industry
- Proficient knowledge of regulatory and statutory requirements
- Understanding of organizational strategy and management tools
- Knowledge of SARB Regulations, VAT Act of South Africa, and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with SAP and Essbase Financial & General Accounting (preferred)
- Knowledge of the Companies Act and Motor Industry standards
- Management experience (preferential)
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with sales, marketing, and aftersales goals to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Create budgets and provide financial forecasts to support decision-making.
- Evaluate financial performance of initiatives, identifying improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
- Optimize resource allocation for marketing campaigns and sales efforts.
- Conduct ROI analysis of marketing campaigns and sales strategies.
- Provide timely, accurate financial reports highlighting KPIs and metrics.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other departments to align financial strategies.
- Stay informed about market trends, industry benchmarks, and economic indicators.
- Implement cost control measures without compromising quality.
- Lead and develop the finance team within sales and marketing finance.
